SENIOR SCHOOL

Dear Senior School Parents/Carers and Students

Term 2 on the Senior Campus has been positive and productive. The Year 11 and 12 students are to be commended for how they are approaching their studies. The Presentation Space whiteboards are a popular resource being used for collaborative and independent studies with students preparing well for their upcoming assessments. Students are proactively seeking additional tutoring at lunchtimes, in their study periods and after school.

In the Year 12 Voice Mentoring sessions students have been working towards the General Achievement Test (GAT) on Thursday 15 June and in the Year 11 Agency workshops students have commenced their career investigations.  Student participation in extracurricular activities has been busier than ever including lunchtime house competitions, outstanding results in the sporting arena and spectacular performances at the Unit 3 Music Performance Soiree. Congratulations to all our students for being awarded house points for a variation of outstanding reasons.

Thank you to all students for their participation in the annual Attitude to School Survey (AToSS) conducted over the last fortnight. This feedback provides meaningful insight which helps us continue to grow and improve.

We wish all our students all the very best for their upcoming assessment. Your study and efforts have will have placed you well. Stay focused and maintain a healthy and balanced routine. We look forward to celebrating the end of Unit 1 and 3 with you at your formals.

On behalf of the Senior Team, we thank our parent/carer community for your support and communications throughout Semester 1. We are looking forward to a great Semester 2.

SENIOR SCHOOL CAPTAINS

"Throughout this term the Year 11 students have been getting excited for their formal. We have been working with our Coordinators, Ms Milne, Ms Elrick and Mr Land to create a theme of 'under the stars'. Due to our formal being on June 16 we have put together a Formal Committee and been planning the décor and lay out of the venue.

We have also held an assembly with our year level to keep students updated on upcoming VCE requirements, like the GAT, attendance and much more. Whilst also meeting with the Years 9 and 10 Level Leaders regularly to share and create new ideas to build student voice here at Frankton High School."
