DIOCESAN CROSS COUNTRY TRIALS AT BARRABA

Congratulations to the twenty five students who have been chosen to represent St Patrick's at the Diocesan Winter Trials being held next Friday 6th May at Barraba. Thank you to the parents who have already sent their permission notes already, it is very much appreciated. All permission notes need to be returned back to school by tomorrow as this is the last day in which nominations will be accepted. Mr Hyatt is going to be the team manager for the day.

POLDING WINTER TRIALS

At the time of publication both Annie (Girls Hockey) and Frankie (Girls Football) would have just completed their final training run before they compete against teams from the Bathurst, Broken Bay, Forbes-Wilcannia, Lismore and Newcastle-Maitland dioceses at the Polding Winter Trials being held at Bathurst tomorrow. We wish both girls the very best of luck as they will be competing against the best hockey and football players throughout the northern half of New South Wales.

SCHOOL OZTAG COMPETITION

Our lunch time Oztag Competition for students in Years 2-6 recommenced on Tuesday with the Gorillas taking on the Monkeys. Again this was a very competitive game with a lot of long range breaks as well as some desperate defence on the try line. The Gorillas ending up being winners as they defeated the Monkeys 6 to 5.

Next Tuesday is the final round game before the semi finals commence in Week 3.

In the attachment below is a list of the players in their teams as well as the draw. Thanks to Frankie for doing a lot of work behind the scenes organising this competition.

WEEKEND SPORTING COMPETITIONS

Good luck to many of our students who will be playing their first game in their respective winter sport either on Saturday or Sunday. We are looking forward to hearing how everyone went.
