Student Excellence

AFLW Star

On Thursday the 8 August Jatalia Jarman (Year 9) was selected to play a practice match with the Collingwood AFLW team.  Jatalia was chosen because  she has been identified as an up and coming star female football player.

Jatalia currently plays for the East Sandringham Zebras, under 16 team and regularly produces outstanding results on the football field.

" I am very excited to have this opportunity and one day I hope to be drafted by an AFLW team."

Metropolitan Rescue Robotics Competition

Saturday the 3rd of August was another busy day in the world of Sandringham College Robotics. Held at St Michaels Grammar the Metropolitan Rescue Robotics Championships was a great experience for our students.

The Year 8s competed for the first time in the championships. Over the day their confidence and team work improved. I don’t know who were more competitive the students or their parents! (great to have them there)

The year 12s worked hard improving their robot and were rewarded with first place. They received recognition for their unique robotic creation and incredible programming skills.

Both teams will represent the College in the Victorian Championships at the end of the month!

Once again, proud to see our students competing with heart and determination.
