A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL
Hi everyone,
As the end of term two is fast approaching it is an opportune time to say that this has been a truly unbelievable term.
It started with me not resigning after all and is finishing with us still in a pandemic with our fingers and toes crossed that Australia does not experience a second spike in infection.
I have been very proud to have had the opportunity to lead our school community through this situation. The staff, all of them, really rose to the challenge of remote teaching and learning. Our families were outstanding too. The feedback from our surveys was overwhelmingly positive. Although some families found accessing the website a challenge they still accessed the learning packs and kept their students engaged in learning at home.
It was a time of learning for all of us.
RETIREMENT
I have advised school council and the staff that my return to Dandy Valley was really just a temporary measure to see us through the COVID19 crisis and I have again tendered my resignation. I will finish at school at the end of term 3. Hopefully DET will find a suitable applicant for my job this time. My husband and I will be travelling within Australia for the remainder of the year so you can be assured that my retirement is final.
I look forward to working with the school community in term three.
SCHOOL HOLIDAYS
Happy holidays everyone, don’t forget buses will be an hour early in the afternoon of Friday 26th June.
FLEXIBUZZ
We have received notification that Flexi Buzz will cease to operate from June 30th 2020.
We are investigating an alternative platform to use in the future.
Cheers, Sue
