WORK EXPERIENCE STUDENTS
Last week we have had the absolute pleasure of having two past students, Mr Jack Hartnett and Miss Lily Grist, undertake work experience at our school. They were a wonderful asset to our school, assisting our teacher’s with a variety of classroom activities as well as Mrs Capp in the Library. We wish them all the best.
GARDEN CLUB NEWS
Our Garden Club are excited after making their first purchase from the funds raised during the Term 1 bulb drive fundraiser. Mrs Foster went shopping at Bunnings to purchase some new garden tools. We can’t wait to use the rakes and shovel and fork sets to prepare the ground and grow the potatoes.
KINDERGARTEN PERFORM FOR PARISHIONERS
In honour of Grandparents Day being last Friday, our parishioners were treated to a special performance on Wednesday by a group of our Kindergarten students. The students attended the service held at the Presbytery to perform the song Jesus Loves Me written by Anna Bartlett Warner. Well done to those who performed.
GRANDPARENTS DAY
Our Grandparents Day celebrations were enjoyed by a fantastic crowd of grandparents, families and school community last Friday. We honoured our Grandparents at a special Mass at church. Our visitors and students then congregated under the COLA to enjoy a picnic morning tea together.
Following morning tea, the School Band performed to open our special Grandparents Day Assembly followed by each stage group who presented an item. Well done to all the students on their performances and thank you everyone who joined us. It was a great day had by all!
