Curious Creations

As part of Performing Arts, students from Prep to 6 have been exploring Alice in Wonderland through moving images and digital art.

PREP:

The Prep students worked on developing their digital art skills using a variety of iPad apps.

YEAR 1:

In Year 1, students learnt about pixels and how they are used in digital art. We then created our own pixel characters from Alice in Wonderland.

YEAR 2:

Year 2 students have been exploring the basics of moving image. Storyboarding and then creating their stage and characters for their own animations.

YEAR 3:

The Year 3's explored set and character design, making a physical stage and puppets to perform with.

YEAR 4:

In Year 4, students developed their understanding of pixels in digital art and then created their own flipbook using pixel art.

YEAR 5:

Year 5 students explored elements of photography, creating illusions through 'forced perspective' techniques.

YEAR 6:

The Year 6 students used creative design apps to produce mixed media collages inspired from a chapter of Alice in Wonderland.
