Year 9 Chemistry

This term in Science the Year 9 students have been investigating atomic structure, the development and key features of the periodic table, and main types of chemical reactions. Students completed two Common Assessment Tasks.

Students selected an element and conducted research to determine who discovered it, its main chemical and physical features and its main uses.

Students explored a range of chemical reactions, including acid/base and exothermic reactions.
