Surf's Up at Torquay

Students from Mr McMahon’s Year 9 Outdoor Environmental studies class made the trip out to Torquay to immerse themselves in a coastal environment. Students were introduced to surfing and to their credit, all students embraced the challenge that the surf break had to offer. There were plenty of waves caught, laughs had and more importantly, many wipe outs. After lunch, the students were able at view some the latest exhibitions on offer at the Australian National Surfing Museum. Also a big thanks to Miss Ognenis for joining in on the fun and helping students catch their first ever wave.
