A message from our Principal

Dear St. Brendan's School Community,

Welcome back to all our students and families to Term 2.  It was lovely to see the children so happy to be back last week.

We welcome Carmel Bicknell, our new Finance/Administration Officer who began with us Term 2 full-time.  I'm sure you will make her very welcome.

Assembly - The Resurrection

It was wonderful to see so many families at our first Assembly last Friday and the Junior classes did a beautiful presentation of Easter Sunday.  Their singing was beautiful.  Thank you to all staff and students.

Anzac Day

Anzac Day was a beautiful day with many families at the Dawn Service and also at 11.00am Service.

Many thanks to Ivy Stevens and Hunter Corbo who lay a wreath on behalf of our school. They were extremely proud and respectful.

Anzac Day Football also is a fantastic way for people to remember all those who fought so we can live in such a beautiful country.

It was amazing to watch the before game ceremony with the MCG packed to capacity, but in silence in remembrance.

Being a Collingwood supporter, I was extremely happy at the end of the game and very impressed with Darcy Moore's speech.

Parents and Friends

Don't forget to get your Mother's Day orders in via CDF Pay and your RSVP if you want to attend the Mother's Day breakfast.

Uniforms

As from Monday, 8th May, all children will need to be in full Winter Uniform.

Boys:      Green Polo tops, long grey pants, grey socks and black leather shoes.

Girls:      Tartan pants or tartan skirt, yellow top, green socks or tights, black shoes.

Year 6:   Students can wear their Year 6 top

Cross Country

Well done to all our students who competed, a very good effort.

Netball

Congratulations to Lily Uluakiahoia was chosen for the Victorian State Netball team.  She completed her trials yesterday in Wangaratta.   Lily has been selected to advance to the next trial stage in Shepparton on 18th May. 

Lily was also selected from numerous trials to play for the Shepparton Squad team, who play tournaments on Sundays around Regional Victoria. 

Sacramental Program

Thanks to Leanne Pellegrino for all her work for this important program.  A parent night was held last night and was facilitated by Leanne Pellegrino and Anthony Kilmartin. Thanks to all those in attendance.
