What's happening in Senior Years....
Senior Year’s Learning Community Update Term 2
Term Two see’s our Senior Year’s student’s having another busy term of learning, as well as participating in many exciting events and activities.
In week six, our Grade Five students will embark on a thrilling two-night adventure at Alexandra Adventure Resort, where they will engage in a variety of team-building exercises and push themselves beyond their comfort zones.
In Literacy this term students will be developing their skills in reading and writing by looking at our mentor text “Wonderful Wasps” students will be focusing on this text to further enhance their reading comprehension skills, and look at the author's purpose and reasons for writing this text.
In Mathematics, students will explore the vital connections between fractions, decimals, and percentages and how they relate to real-world problems and everyday situations. In Inquiry-based Learning, students will be exploring the question of “How living things adapt to survive”, studying various habitats and how the flora and fauna have evolved to thrive in their respective environments.
Our Senior Students will also have the chance to showcase their athletic abilities in inter school competitions featuring Netball, Football, and Soccer.
With so much to look forward to, we can't wait to dive into another productive and exciting term within the Senior Year's Learning Community.
