SCHOOL CROSS COUNTRY Term 1 Week 11 Thursday 7th April - Walcha Golf Course

The school cross country will be Term 1 Week 11 Thursday 7th April

The annual Cross Country will be held on Thursday 7th April at the Walcha Golf Course.

 Students in Infants K-2 will run 1km, Year 3-6 students aged 8-10yrs (any year 2 student who turns 8 this year is also included in this group) will run 2km and students aged 11-13 years will run 3km. It is the age your child turns this year. 

Further information will go home soon. Please encourage your child to prepare for this activity. 

DIOCESAN WINTER TRIALS

Students in Years 5 and 6 who showed interest in representing the school in Boys and Girls Football as well as Girls Hockey at the Diocesan Winter Trials held in Armidale and Tamworth are reminded that they need to return their permission note and levy fee by tomorrow, as nominations are due on this day.

SCHOOL OZTAG COMPETITION

Thanks to all of the students who have nominated themselves to take part in the School Oztag Competition. We are now in the process of placing students in teams and we plan to start the competition this upcoming Tuesday. A full draw will be included in the next newsletter.

TOUCH FOOTBALL CLINIC

On Tuesday we were very fortunate to have Deacon from NSW Touch visit the school and conduct clinics with all classes. The emphasis of the clinics focused on having fun and playing various games and challenges that developed the basic skills used in touch. All of the students had a great time and some were very fortunate enough to win a touch visor. Hopefully Deacon will be able to visit St Patrick's again in the very near future.

HANDBALL COMPETITION

Also there are plans in place for a lunchtime handball competition to begin in the very near future. Students who are interested are encouraged to nominate themselves for this competition. Thanks to Sarah in Year 6 for organising this event.

NSWCPS GOLF TOURNAMENT

NSWCPS Golf nominations are now open. Please encourage interested students to access the google form on the ADPSC website. Once expressions of interest have been completed you will receive further information about the trial. NSWCPS18 Hole Tournament (Pathway to MacKillop & Polding Selection) and 9 Hole Tournament (non-pathway participation) will be on Monday 1st August at Blackheath. Registrations close 22nd July 2022 and are open for Ages 8 - 13.
