Alpine School for Leadership – Snowy River Campus
Craigieburn Secondary College was lucky enough to be chosen as to send five of our Year 9 students down to the Alpine School for Leadership this term. This is a residential program for nine weeks where students stay on campus and learn a wide range of leadership skills. This year our students attended the Snowy River campus down in Marlo, Victoria. Through a selection process undertaken at the College last year, five students were nominated to attend after demonstrating strong leadership capabilities to the panel. The camp involves our group of students living with other Year 9 students from around the state as they lead and engage in campus life. Mr Konieczny and Mr Fowles visited our students at the Leadership School and had the opportunity to hear about their experiences so far. These students had shown significant growth in their confidence and capabilities and were excited to share their ideas of the project they wish to implement once they return back to our College. We look forward to hearing more of their stories once they return next term.
