WEBINAR: RAISING KIDS IN A DIGITAL WORLD
Galilee Library News
The Galilee Library underwent a remarkable transformation starting last year, and the results are nothing short of spectacular! The funds for this transformation were raised by our students in our 2023 Colour Run. The school received an incredible $21,000 as a result of the 2023 Colour Run which allowed us to transform the space. After months of hard work, the doors swung open this term to reveal a space that elicited gasps of "Wow!" and "Oooooooo!" from students as they stepped inside.
Designed with the students' needs in mind, the library now serves as a calming space where reading, learning, and play seamlessly intertwine. From cozy reading nooks to engaging learning corners, every element has been carefully curated to inspire and nurture young minds.
Each class has had the opportunity to have a guided tour, where they learned not only how to navigate the library's layout but also the importance of respecting its resources. Concepts like sorting books and understanding alphabetical order were imparted, laying the groundwork for responsible library usage.
Now fully operational, the library is now ready for borrowing! Students are reminded to bring in their library bags on their library day. We have many new books that are yet to be covered and cataloged - so if you’d like to help out - please contact Ms Carnovale or Ms Evans so these books can hopefully be on the shelves soon.
A special round of applause is due to the Grade 5 students, whose dedication and assistance in organising and maintaining the library has been invaluable. Their leadership exemplifies the spirit of collaboration and community that defines our school.
In essence, the Galilee Library's revival symbolises more than just a physical transformation—it represents a renewed commitment to fostering a love for learning and exploration among our students. Congratulations to all involved in this remarkable journey!
Gardening Club
Gardening Club
Last week, our Garden Club members worked their magic once again with another successful produce stall. We're thrilled to share that our year 4’s and 5’s have been actively caring for our plants and herbs during recess, ensuring our garden is thriving.
At the stall, we offered lots of vegetables, including silver beet, rosemary, oregano, thyme, and cucumbers. We've also planted tomatoes recently, so stay tuned for updates!
The funds raised from our stall will continue to be invested into our garden, allowing us to buy new plants and equipment. We extend our gratitude to all who contribute to our garden's success.
Thanks Paul, Miss Leahy and Miss Evans for running this initiative.

Parking At the Front
Dear parents, thank you for those parents who are following the parking guidelines at the front of the school. Some may not be aware of them so please find a copy of the sign below. Keeping these spots free supports families who want to do a quick drop off and stay with their cars instead of coming into the school grounds. There are often free parking spaces a little way up or down Bank St, and around the corner, for those families wanting to come into the school grounds.
