Glory and praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ!
I am the resurrection and the life, says the Lord;
whoever believes in me will not die for ever.
Glory and praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ!
As we continue our journey through Lent, let us always be mindful that the joy of Easter is not too far away and the sacrifices that we make during Lent will be insignificant when we face the joy of the resurrection.
We continue to offer weekly Mass on a Wednesday afternoon. Father Eladio, our wonderful College Chaplain, leads us each week in the celebration of the Eucharist. All members of the St Patrick’s community are welcome to attend.

On Tuesday, we celebrated the feast day of our Patron Saint, St Patrick. As has become the tradition in recent years, the day was filled with examples from each of the College pillars — Faith, Tradition, Excellence and Joy.
The celebration of Mass at the beginning of the day was a fine example the Faith that we profess as a college. Bishop Paul kindly took the reins and led the Mass in what was one of his final duties as Bishop of our Diocese. He officially retires on Thursday. He was ably assisted by our College Chaplain, Father Eladio and former Old Collegian Father Eugene McKinnon who is celebrating 60 years since he completed his studies at St Pat's.
The day continued with an assembly, where our Year 12 boys were each presented with their badge. College Captain, George Charles, impressing upon the boys that they are leaders in the College and their example will be followed by other year levels.
Moments of joy, like St Patrick’s Day, continue to inspire the culture of the College that we protect dearly.

Our Easter Vigil will be held in the College Chapel on the evening of 1 April. The vigil will begin with Mass at 6pm and observances of the Stations of the Cross, Psalms and readings will continue throughout the evening and conclude at 7am on Thursday, 2 April.
This is a wonderful time for self-reflection and prayer; it is a chance to slow down and contemplate our Lenten observances and look to the joy that comes with the resurrection and Christ’s victory over death on Easter Sunday. All members of the College community are invited to attend, even if it only for an hour or two.
As we journey toward Easter, we are reminded of Christ’s call to bring hope, compassion, and light to others. In this spirit, our Faith in Action group are collecting Easter eggs to be delivered to patients and staff in Ballarat hospitals on Monday, 30 March.
We warmly invite families to donate an Easter egg or treat, which will be shared with those spending Easter in hospital. This simple act of giving is a beautiful way for our community to reflect Christ’s love and bring a moment of joy to people who may be facing illness or caring for the sick during this sacred season.
Our Faith in Action Easter Bunnies will be visiting homerooms from Monday, 20 March to Monday, 30 March to collect these donations and spread a little Easter cheer along the way.
Thank you for your generosity and for helping us live out our faith through kindness and service.
