Dear Families,
It was wonderful to have so many visitors on site last week and I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of the mums, aunties, grandmas, older sisters and family friends who joined us for our Mother's Day celebrations. Our Foundation students did an amazing job leading us for our Liturgy especially given that they have only been at school for such a short time and this was their first time presenting to the school community. There were many proud smiles around the hall, staff and visitors alike - it was a very special celebration. Our Community Spirit leaders also deserve a special mention - they supported their prep buddies so beautifully, assisting with the reading and encouraging them.
As I mentioned on Friday, these events don't happen without planning and preparation so thank you to:
Vanessa and Susan, two of our ESOs who coordinated the Mother's Day stall and to Kirsten, Colleen and the parent volunteers who assisted them,
Maddie and Malini, our Foundation teachers who prepared the children and the liturgy so beautifully,
Kerry and Colleen, our admin team, for coordinating the morning tea
Our class teachers for bringing the celebrations together with songs and poetry to celebrate the wonderful women in our community.
I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day and enjoyed the special gifts that the children purchased for you.
Enrolments for 2026 are open
I can't believe it's that time of year already but enrolment interviews have begun. It is such an exciting time, touring the school with new families and getting to know the little people that will become the next Foundation class.
If you have a child due to start school in 2026 and haven't yet picked up an enrolment pack, please pop into the office for one. If you have friends who are currently deciding on a school for their child, we are open for tours!
News from the Parish
You will see a new page has appeared on the newsletter this time, News from the Parish. We will share Parish updates with you from time to time and Fr Antony will also be writing an article each term.
Cyber Safety
As I have written before, the cyber world can be a tricky space to navigate with children. Please see attached some online safety tips put together by our Student Wellbeing Officer, Vanessa Fuller.
Just a friendly reminder that next Wednesday, 21st May, is a student free day. The staff will be engaging in a day of professional learning with the staff of St Agatha's and St Thomas the Apostle.
