CHRISTMAS DECORATING

Café students finished their last cooking session for the year by decorating cupcakes into snowmen and White Christmas shaped trees into Christmas trees. 

White Christmas recipe

3 cups Rice Bubbles

1 cup desiccated coconut

3/4 cup icing sugar, sifted

1 cup powdered milk

1 cup dried mixed fruit or 1/4 cup of chocolate bits.

250g Copha 

  1. Combine dry ingredients in mixing bowl.
  2. Melt copha slowly over low heat.
  3. Cool slightly, pour onto dry ingredients. Mix well. 
  4. Be sure to work quickly, spoon the mixture into a plastic funnel or cup mould. 
  5. Set in te fridge.

 When unmoulding just sit the moulds briefly in a small amount of warm water then turn out onto a tray lined with foil, cover and put back into the fridge until you are ready to decorate. Make icing to drizzle over the tree so your food decorations stick. 

 

Destiny worked very hard to decorate her Christmas cake. She was very pleased with her creative design.
