Deputy News

As we come to the end of our first year as Deputy Principals at Sacred Heart, we would like to take a moment to reflect, celebrate, and give thanks to our school community.
This year has been an adjustment for us, one that we have truly enjoyed and we are deeply grateful for the trust you have placed in us. Your support, open communication, and willingness to work alongside both of us and the school have made our roles much easier. We value the partnerships we share with our families and the way you support your children each day.
To our parents, thank you for your kindness, understanding, and engagement throughout the year. It has been a privilege getting to know so many of you and your families, and to be part of such a caring, connected, and special community.
To the School Board and our Parents & Friends Committee, thank you for your support and guidance. We have felt genuinely welcomed by this team of parents and are grateful for your passion, organisation, and unwavering support. We are truly blessed to have such an active and involved group, and we look forward to your continued support in 2026.
To Simon, what a remarkable journey we have shared. Your support of us, both professionally and personally, has had a profound and lasting impact. Together, the three of us have formed a unique team, a group that learns from one another, challenges one another, and leads with kindness, compassion, and unwavering support. Your commitment to best practice and excellence inspires everyone around you to strive for their very best. You challenge us thoughtfully, encourage growth, and foster an environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered. We are grateful for your leadership, your mentorship, and the energy you bring each day. It is a privilege to work alongside you, and we look forward to continuing this journey together, albeit just down the road.
To our staff, from the leadership team to our teaching, administration, and learning support staff, you show up each day with commitment, care, and professionalism, giving your all to support our students and one another. Your dedication, teamwork, and willingness to go above and beyond do not go unnoticed. Together, you create a learning environment grounded in high expectations, compassion, and a shared belief in every child’s potential.
To our students, thank you for the energy, curiosity, and kindness you bring to our school each day. You show courage in your learning, care for one another, and a willingness to try, even when things feel challenging. We are proud of the growth you show, not only academically but also as respectful and resilient members of our school community. We love the little insights into your lives at the gate, from medals and lost teeth to the occasional return for a forgotten bag or bike. You are the reason we do what we do, and it is a privilege to learn alongside you every day.
We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a safe, happy, and restful holiday season. May this time be filled with joy, time with loved ones, and well earned rest. We look forward to welcoming you back in the new year.
