If your student/s require a bus pass for any other buses due to extenuating circumstances, please ensure a note by the parent/carer is dropped into the office at the commencement of the day. This note must be signed, dated and an explanation as to where your student is going and why. Please do not come to the office at the end of the day to request a pass as it will not be granted.
Students are NOT permitted to travel on any of our buses without a pass.

Dear Rochester Secondary families,

Smile Squad is the Victorian Government free school dental program.
This means ALL students can get a free dental check-up, preventive services, and treatment at school.
How to access free dental care
We need your consent before we can provide services. Consent is usually provided by a parent or guardian.
Sign up to Smile Squad at: https://bit.ly/smilesquadvic
Please complete and submit the consent form by Friday 13th February.
CHANGE OF DETAILS
If you have changed any or your students details and have not completed a form during the interviews last week, can you please notify the office.
Especially any phone numbers and emergency contact details.
MOBILE PHONE POLICY
A reminder that the Victorian State Government has banned mobile phone in schools. Mobile phones brought to school must be switched off and stored securely during the school day. If you need to contact students during the school day, please call the school office so a message can be sent to the student.
Due to this government ban, students cannot use mobile devices including watches to pay for purchases made at the school canteen.
For more information on this, refer to the Mobile Phones – Student Use policy
Annual reminder about students bringing personal items to school
It is a requirement for all schools at the beginning of the school year to remind students, parents and carers that any personal property brought to school by students is not insured by the school or covered by school insurance, and that it is not the responsibility of the school or the Department if that property is lost, stolen or damaged.
We would suggest that students leave valuables at home, lock their lockers, lock their bikes and scooters in our bike rack, and consider whether it is necessary to bring important sentimental items to school.
