Lost Property

Just a reminder coming into the winter months we do have a lot of jumpers in lost property. Please remember to label property to ensure it returns to you. We also have some jewellery that has been handed into the office awell.

Attendance

Just a reminder that it is a department requirement if a student is not at school that we record the reason they are absent. You can easily do this by clicking on the shortcuts button in the middle at the bottom of the home screen and click Submit for Attendance.

• Enter reason via the drop down. i.e. medical illness, family holiday, etc...
• Comment: any other comments you might want to add regarding the reason.
• Enter start and finish dates and click save.

Note: Extended absences of 5 or more days require Principal approval. Please send a written request for an extended absence via email somerville.ps@education.vic.gov.au as early as possible.  An absence learning plan will then be provided by the classroom teacher, as required by the Department of Education and Training.

Police School Zone Blitz

We have been advised that Police are targeting School Zones in the lead up to the end of Term. Can you please adhere to the road rules around School Zones:

• 40 Zone during School Zone
• No U Turn around the signed area's 
• 2 min Kiss and go is just for dropping and picking up children you can not park and get out of your vehicle.
