Care and Connection

Creative Play equipment – Call out for donations!

There are many benefits of creative play. At Good Shepherd, we recognise this and are committed to continuing to foster it amongst our learners. The children at Good Shepherd enjoy using the creative play equipment that is available.

From time to time, as items become ‘well used’, damaged or broken, our creative play equipment needs replenishing. This is where we’d like your help! Do you have any of the following items that you no longer use that you could potentially donate?

Items may include:

  • matchbox cars, toy trucks, diggers etc
  • sandpit toys (eg spades, rakes etc)
  • small pieces of timber
  • bed sheets for cubby making
  • board/card games (complete sets only please)
  • cutlery, cups, bowls (sturdy plastic or metal only please)
  • kitchen utensils (nothing sharp)
  • buckets (preferably durable plastic)

In addition, if you have any electrical or battery-operated items that are no longer working, please don’t throw them away. These items can be used for our tinkering investigations. These items may include:

  • computer/tech objects
  • kitchen/bathroom appliances
  • hand tools (eg working screwdrivers, allen keys, spanners etc)

You may have something else that you think may be of use. Please let us know about it. 😊

Thank you in advance.

KAPS - Save the date- Sunday 26th October!

Spring is in the air... The weather is warming... And we are looking forward to more than a splash of fun on Sunday 26th October. Please note: It would be great for young people to wear some bathers/ rash vest/ shorts and bring a towel for our water themed activities... as well as change of clothes for our worship and the meal which follows.  Think about who you might like to bring along...  The more the merrier! See you soon!

Coffee and Connect

How was your break from school routine? Did you see any good movies? Go camping? Relax (or get some jobs done) at home? How is your family going?

Coffee and Connect is back on!

If you have a few minutes (or a lot of minutes) and you feel like meeting some people or reuniting with old friends, you are most welcome to pop into the Church Café tomorrow morning (Friday) 8.30-10.00 am and share some tea/coffee and conversation!

Why not invite someone along this week? You never know how you might change someone’s day (for the better) just by turning up and having a chat!

Enter via the courtyard.

Toddlers are welcome (there is a small playground for them to play in; we just ask that you keep an eye on them for safety reasons)

Love to see you tomorrow!
