Congratulations to Mrs McIntyre who claimed three straight best and fairests plus an unbeaten flag is southern NSW and Victoria’s premier country netballer!
This week we warmly welcomed back our Principal, Mr Gerard Raven, following his 9 weeks of leave, some of which was spent travelling through Greece and Türkiye on a pilgrimage in the footsteps of St Paul.
This special journey offered an opportunity to walk in the footsteps of one of the Church’s most influential figures, exploring the places where St Paul shared the Gospel and helped shape the early Christian community.
As a Catholic school community, we look forward to hearing about Gerard’s experiences, reflections and the insights he brings back from this meaningful journey of faith, history and discovery.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Deputy Principal Mrs Fiona Combe, who stepped into the role of Interim Principal during Gerard’s absence. We are grateful for Fiona’s leadership, dedication and support of our College community throughout this time. We would also like to thank Mrs Michelle Dooling for stepping up into the role of Acting Deputy Principal during this time, as her organisational skills and creative thinking greatly benefitted our school.

Staff entered the world of Virtual Reality at the end of last term to continue exploring ways to incorporate immersive VR into classes in Term 4. Staff visited international cities, tried their hand at hair dressing, explored Anne Frank's house, and even worked on their golfing swing.
The opportunities in VR are truly endless!

We're proud to celebrate the achievements of Sarah F (Year 8)
and Elizamary J (Year 10), whose short stories were shortlisted for this year's John Marsden Story Prize!
Both students' stories were shortlisted as one of just 11 entries in their respective age categories from a field of 160 students across Australia. What a fantastic achievement!
At St Brigid's College we are proud to support students to access extra-curricular opportunities to extend and challenge themselves beyond the classroom. Opportunities are regularly shared on Student Daily Messages, and students are encouraged to chat to their teachers about competitions, programs and experiences that align with their interests and talents.

Recently we welcomed over 150 Grade 5 and 6 students to St Brigid's College for our Experience Day! Students spent the day exploring our spaces, getting hands on in our specialist facilities, including our VR Lab and Food Tech room, and meeting our wonderful teachers.
We love hosting primary school students and giving them a glimpse into life at our College. For those joining us in 2027 or 2028, we understand that a smooth transition to secondary school begins well before Day 1 of Year 7. Our Experience Day is a key part of that journey, and we hope all students enjoyed their day!
