Poetry - 'I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud' by William Wordsworth

Students will develop their sentence writing skills by exploring sentence structures, conjunctions and sentence expansion. They will then apply these skills to plan and write a Beauty of Nature poem using sensory language, adjectives, personification and alliteration.

Information Report Writing

Students learn how to research a topic, organise factual information, and present their ideas clearly using the structure and features of an information report. They develop their skills in planning, drafting and publishing informative texts for a specific audience and purpose.

The students will continue to revise and cover spelling strategies and grammatical techniques throughout the term, through the daily reviews and language and literacy sessions.

'Wonder' by R. J. Palacio

Students explore the novel 'Wonder' to develop their comprehension skills by analysing characters, themes and different perspectives within a text. They learn to make connections, infer meaning and discuss how authors use language and structure to engage readers and convey important messages.
