Year 10 Outdoor Education Hike

During week 6 of Term 4, myself, and Mr Alex Johnson took the Year 10 Outdoor Education class out on an overnight hike in the Alpine National Park. We had beautiful, cool sunny days as we hiked from Langford Gap to Roper Hut and made camp amongst a setting of old Snow Gums.

The students were very motivated, and were keen to set a fire and cook dinner, before playing some games around the campsite – spotlight was an absolute hit! We bunkered down in our tents as a thunderstorm rolled through overnight, dropping 30mm of rain.

The students demonstrated the skills they had learned throughout the semester, becoming very proficient in minimal impact bushwalking, which was a delight to witness. Thanks again to Mr Johnson for coming along on the trip.
