Dear Parents/Carers and supporters of our greatest asset, our children,
We have started Term 3 with a bang and haven't wasted any time connecting with each other, learning and our community.
Grandparents Day was a wonderful gathering of grandparents and grandparent figures. Following a liturgy in the Kildare Centre our guests enjoyed games in classrooms with the children. A morning tea of tea, coffee and scones.
We are pleased to announce that Catholic Education Sandhurst Ltd has partnered with internationally recognised educational neuroscientist Dr Jared Cooney Horvath to bring cutting-edge research from the Science of Learning into our schools. Jared led an inspiring three-day professional learning series for educators across our diocese at the beginning of Term 2.
Now it's your turn:
Jared has also created a dedicated presentation series for parents and carers. These sessions aim to build a stronger understanding of how children learn and how families can best support their development and success at school.
We warmly invite all members of our school community to attend these three informative and engaging recorded sessions, two will be offered onsite at times that provide for all family commitments
St Joseph's will be offering the sessions twice to allow for working parents.
Session 1: Stress, Tech and Sleep
Session 2: Surviving Study: Understanding the Three Keys to Learning and Memory
Session 3: Brain Development: Why We Act Like We Do
Following the face-to-face session on Thursday evening, we have been provided with a webinar that covers the same topics. We invite you to school on Friday 8th August at 9.15am to watch the webinar and enjoy a coffee together.
Our commitment to wellbeing continues as the children, we encourage you to check out the TRP page in our newsletter that focuses on the skills your children are learning.

We have many events planned that will complement the learning your child/children will be doing. If you have any concerns, please don't hesitate to contact myself or your child's teacher.
We hope you found the Term 3 Dress UP Day calendar useful for planning. If you have not received it, please let us know.
Thanks for your support and cooperation.
We are #bettertogether.
