Message from the Principal

St Peter’s School - an empowered faith community to enrich the world.

Welcome to Week 11 of Term 2

Welcome to  a special edition of our newsletter to mark a wonderful week of celebration!

P&F Family Disco

Our celebrations started with our Family Disco. Thank you to everyone who joined us on Friday evening for a night of fun and dancing. Nearly 170 people filled the hall with laughter and noise.

Thank you to our amazing P&F for coordinating the evening.  A special thank you must go to the organising committee- Sandy, Karen, Jen, Kelly, Kim, and any who have supported in the background- a very big thank you!

What is a school without community?  Friday was all about community and I thank everyone for taking the time to celebrate with us!

Celebrating with the Parish

Our display in the parish community centre was a big hit with parishioners on Sunday.

There was much talk and memories shared.

A big thank you to Trish Nash (current staff ) and Trish Walls (former staff) for all their work in collating the information and presenting it in such an engaging way.

Celebrating with community- past and present

Our celebrations culminated in our Feast Day celebrations held (belatedly) on Wednesday 2 July. We attended a whole school mass and then classroom activities were completed based on the life of St Peter.

In the afternoon we welcomed many alumni and past staff to look around the school and share memories and reminisce.

The school looked amazing and showcased the learning of the term- the history of our amazing school.

I thank all staff and students for the work that has been completed this term and for displaying it so thoughtfully. A big thank you to Belinda Mihalicek for leading the work in ensuring this day was such a success and for ensuring the school looked its best.

It was amazing to welcome back members of the Brigidine community who taught and led the school.

It was also lovely to see Flory Rodrigues,  the namesake of the Rodrigues building,(seniors/library) amongst former staff who attended the afternoon.

I wish everyone a safe and restful holiday.

To staff-  I hope you all enjoy a well earned rest after a busy term and thank you for your commitment and dedication to ensuring each student achieves growth and progress.
