Part time jobs!
Now is a great time to be looking for part time employment opportunities. If you are leaving school and looking for a job to earn some money so you can travel next year, or you just want a job for the holidays before uni starts, there are many opportunities for part time or casual work at the moment.
Retailers are starting their recruitment drives for the upcoming retail sales like Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and of course the Christmas shopping rush.
- Think about your availability - after exams, whether or not you are going family holidays, etc.
- What experience do you already have, if any - make sure you tailor your resume to each job you apply for.
- Work out how you might get to the workplace - do you have the means to drive yourself, or will you need to rely on public transport or a lift from a family member?
- You have to make it work for you and your other commitments but this might mean compromise.
