Dear Parents, Caregivers, and School Community,
We are almost the end of another term. I wanted to thank the entire Marangaroo Community for your involvement with the Open Evening and the Faction Carnival. It was fantastic to see so many families attending both events. I must congratulate all students for the sportsmanship they showed at the Carnival. Congratulations to Jirda (Winning Faction) and Maali (Sportsmanship). I was immensely proud of all children throughout the day and saw some wonderful examples of sportsmanship from all students.
2026 Enrolments
Kindergarten enrolments for 2026 are still open. We currently have 13 students enrolled for 2026, leaving space for only 7 more children. If you or someone you know has a child turning four before 30 June 2026, please visit the office to collect an enrolment pack.
Planning for 2026
The administration team is well into planning for the 2026 academic year. If you are looking to leave Marangaroo Primary School at the end of the year, can you please inform the school as soon as possible. This will enable us to identify classroom structures and plan for staff placement.
Mobile Phone and Uniform Policies
At the most recent school board meeting, two new policies were approved. I have attached copies of these policies to this newsletter, and they will very shortly be available from our school website. There is an attachment to the Mobile Phone policy that will be sent to families at the beginning of next term. This attachment is a parent/carer permission form.
Save the Date
Throughout the first week of next term, we will be acknowledging WA Mental Health Week. Activities are being planned throughout the week. On Thursday 16 October the students in the Emus classroom will be completing a 4km running challenge which is a culmination of work that has been done this term with facilitators from Tough Stuff. We are then looking to hold a community lunch where we are inviting families to Marangaroo to have a picnic lunch. The canteen is currently looking to run a menu on this date, and a pre-order form will be sent to families for this. I look forward to seeing families at this event next term.
