Recording Studio Day

It was with great pleasure on Friday to visit Lalor North Secondary College with our MPHPS Rock Band students. All students were extremely excited, spending 3 hours with sound engineer Phil, Lalor North SC Music Coordinator Dino, MPHPS Rock Band Staff Team Member Miss Nicolaou and myself. 

Students were introduced to the studio space and excitedly gazed at the different instruments and recording equipment. We rehearsed ‘Old Time Rock ‘n’ Roll’, ‘We Will Rock You’, ‘Jailhouse Rock’ and ‘Stand By Me’. All songs were played, improved upon and finally recorded. It really is amazing to have an expert sound engineer working with us to improve our overall sound and performance. We were really pleased with the final takes. 

A huge ‘Thank You’ to Phil and Dino from Lalor North SC, Rock Band Staff Team Members Miss Nicolaou and Mr Keeling, our very supportive Leadership Team of Ms Beare, Ms Lloyd & Mrs Stimpson, our wonderful Office Staff and our Rock Band members who showed our MPHPS values of Respect, Collaboration and Perseverance at all times.
