In Performing Arts this term, we have been getting musical! 

Foundation students have been playing percussion instruments and listening for high and low pitch. 

In Grade 1/2 and Grade 3/4, we have been learning the value of musical notes - crotchets, quavers, minims and rests. We can use these notes to create our own songs in our own bands! We have been discussing how to write a song using repeated patterns. 

In Grade 5, students are learning to play the ukulele for the first time, and Grade 6s are continuing their learning from last year. We are learning to play chords, strumming patterns, and have been practising playing Lean on Me, Riptide and Bad Moon Rising. 

In Term 3, we will continue with Music as well as returning to some Drama work.
