Smile Squad Dental Van Visit
Smile Squad is the Victorian Government free school dental program. This means all students can get a free dental check-up, preventative services, and treatment at school. We need a guardians consent before they can provide services to your child/children.
If you would like your child to participate in this free program you will need to scan the QR code on the attached form and register, by Monday 4th May.
The dental van will be on our school grounds from Monday 1st June
Secondhand Uniform Shop
We are in need of polo tops and jumpers, if you have any in good, clean condition, please drop them at the school office.
Items for sale are $5 each, cash only.
You can come anytime during school hours to purchase.
Excursion Payments
All excursions and events will be posted through Compass, if you prefer to pay in cash, you can print the permission form off from Compass or come into our office and we will print your child's form for you.
Each family has their own personal log in & password details for Compass. You can use these details to consent and pay for excursions. All events/excursions will show on your Compass home page in My News. Click on the blue hyperlink for more information and you will have access to either print the form or Process Now, which will take you directly to a consent and payment form to provide permission and payment.
Please note that those families who wish to use their CSEF, Credit or remaining School Savings Bonus can select the option "use CSEF/Credit".
Please note that it is no longer possible for teachers or office staff to accept payment or ring to ask for permission for students to attend an excursion on the day of the event. This causes a lot of disruption within the classroom particularly if the excursion is taking place at the beginning of the day.
If you have any questions or concerns please call into our school office.
Student Absences
An SMS notification will be sent to the primary family member’s mobile number at approximately 9:30am each school morning, if your child/children are not at school and their absence is unexplained.
Please make sure that you enter your child’s/children’s absence through the COMPASS Parent Portal, prior to 9am on the day of their absence, to ensure you do not receive the text unnecessarily.
If your child/children is arriving late or leaving early, we will enter this onto Compass when you sign them in or out. You are not required to enter any 1/2 day attendances.
If you have any questions regarding this message please call our office on 5256 1411.
School Hours
Classes Start at 8:45am and Classes Finish at 3:15pm
Recess 10:45-11:20am and Lunch 1:15-2:15pm
Please ensure your child/children are at school prior to 8:45am. Students should not arrive before 8.30am and need to be collected by 3.30pm as this is when the school is supervised.
All students who arrive late must sign in at the office and take a late pass to the teacher.
Students leaving early must be signed out by a parent at the office.
If your child is leaving school early could you please email the class teacher, giving a time that you would like your child to be at the office ready for pick up. Unfortunately we are unable to call students over the intercom, unless it is recess, lunchtime or from 3pm.
Labelling Personal Items
Please check that your child’s school uniform & all lunch containers have their names clearly marked on them. We often have a lot of unnamed items in our lost property basket that could easily be returned to their rightful owners if they were named!
Our lost property basket is located at the front of our office if you need to take a look.
