Walk to School Day

A reminder that tomorrow is Walk to School Day and you are invited to meet us at one of the three locations below at 8am on Friday 22 May. Together, students, parents and staff will then walk to school arriving in time for the school day and a free breakfast courtesy of our P&F. 

Parents are advised to supervise and walk with their children. If they are unable to do so, please give verbal permission to the staff members at the meeting location Friday morning.

St Mary’s Primary School House Naming Project

Our Student Representative Council (SRC) is excited to begin a special project to help choose names for our four school houses! We are inviting students, families and staff to share ideas and feedback as we work together to select names that best represent the spirit and values of St Mary’s Primary School.

Some of the themes being considered include:

• saint names
• people connected to our school history
• school values
• native animals

• street names

Do you have any suggestions for house names?

SRC representatives will be gathering feedback from classmates and sharing ideas at our upcoming meetings. Voting stations will also be available for parents and teachers and to contribute to the naming process.

To celebrate the announcement of our new house names, we will hold a House Naming Event on 22 June from 2:30pm – 3:30pm for our students. Students are encouraged to wear their house colours for the day and enjoy special events organised by our Year 6 Leaders.
