Principal's Report

Dear Parents and Families,

Well, despite the multitude of things that have taken place in the school over the last fortnight, I felt that only ONE needed to take precedence in this newsletter. THE CRANE!

Many of you will have seen, and many more have by now no-doubt heard, about the giant crane removing our old 3/4 toilet block on Wednesday. The students slowly saw the build up of the temporary fencing, the trucks and diggers in the days leading up to the removal. The crane arrived late on Tuesday, and the excitement really started to build in anticipation. Then at around 9AM on Wednesday, the crane picked up our sad, old toilet block, and delivered it safely onto a semi-trailer for removal. Our NEW Senior (3-6) Student toilet block has already been put in place and works have started to connect and build it into the school ready for use in the not-too-distant future. I have included a series of photos below that shows the evolution of this fascinating event.

In due course, the new toilet block will be completed, and once we receive the green light from the Department of Education it will be opened for use for our Year 3-6 students. The works on our 5/6 toilets in Penberthy Hall will be commencing later in the year once the design and tender process is complete. I’m so proud that we are getting upgrades to facilities that our students and community deserve.

Until I see you in person,

David Garner
