Final Week of Term: Looking Back and Looking Ahead

Dear Naranga Families,

I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new (Acting) Assistant Principal at Naranga. It is an absolute privilege to step into this role and support our wonderful students, staff, and school community.

A little about me – I have been a part of Naranga for almost 6 years, working in the Upper Junior section of the school as a classroom teacher followed by the Junior sub-school coordinator role. Throughout my time here, I have been passionate about fostering a positive and engaging learning environment where every student feels valued and supported.  I look forward to working closely with our teachers, students, and families to ensure that every child continues to thrive both academically and socially.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions, concerns, or just to say hello! I am always happy to chat and work together to make Naranga the best it can be for our students.

As we wrap up Term 1, I want to take a moment to thank our students, staff, and families for a fantastic start to the school year. It has been a busy and rewarding term, and we are so proud of everything our students have achieved! Throughout the term, students have settled into the routines and expectations of school, fostering positive connections with staff and their fellow students, displaying our four school values of Safe, Respectful, Responsible, Learners. It has been wonderful to see friendships flourish and a strong sense of community grow across all classrooms. Our staff are continually amazed by the friendships students are forming and the incredible progress they have made in numeracy and literacy. Their hard work and enthusiasm for learning have been truly inspiring!

Student Success – Careers Day

We are incredibly proud of our two Year 12 students who recently represented the school at a Careers Expo, where they met with industry leaders and explored future employment opportunities. This was a fantastic experience, and we look forward to seeing them take the next steps in their career journeys!
