PADSIP

"Positive Ageing Digital Storytelling Intergenerational Program"

PADSIP is a wonderful project founded on the nurturing of meaningful relationships.

Working closely with the Wellbeing Clinic for Older Adults, Swinburne University of Technology, the Lion Club and Sandybeach Centre in Sandringham we are proud to present this beautiful intergenerational series showcasing our Year 12 VCAL College students and senior members of the Bayside community sharing stories about the lives of the older people in their community.

We met over a series of 6 weeks. The students and older adults exchanged stories, did art together and shared memories.

The aim of the project was to talk about a "turning point" in their lives that had made an impact on them. The students then created and edited a video to tell the story.

The final videos were presented to the Lions Club, Swinburne University, Parents, teachers and the students and older adults. There was a celebration of the program with afternoon tea.
