Inaugural House AFL Competition - 16 September
On the afternoon of 16 September, the College will be holding its inaugural House AFL Competition, where the winning House will be awarded the Ted Hunter AFL Memorial Trophy.
The match will be held at Melville Oval, and we welcome parents, families, and alumni to come along to cheer and honour this special occasion. House colours are encouraged! 🔴🔵🟢🟡
Formalities will begin at approx. 1.30 pm, and the siren will sound at 1.45 pm. House teams are: Berry / Laidlaw v Young / Learmonth. Players will be Year 10-12 students. House netball matches will also be taking place.
The P&F are putting on a BBQ lunch with sausages and Hamburgers, and we are grateful to the Southern Grampians Shire Council for providing Melville Oval and its facilities as a community gesture. Aren’t we lucky to live in such a wonderful community?
The students established this new College tradition in memory of Ted Hunter, Class of 2025, who was never without a footy in his hands.
Music Events Next Week
Music and Drama
Our VCE Music Repertoire and Drama students will present their examination programs in preparation for their final VCE performance assessments. Drama students will perform their original monologues, and Music students will perform recital programs, showcasing their preparation for their VCE examinations.

The Hamilton & Alexandra College Invites Parents & Friends to our Year 7 Chamber Music Concert
Friday 18 September, 10.00 am
The Kantor Family Music and Performing Arts Centre, Simons Auditorium.
Join us for this celebration of our Year 7 Music Program.
Throughout the year, the students have developed their skills: first in controlling the instrument, then as the Year 7 Concert Band, and this term, working with an accompanist in small chamber groups.
This special concert is an opportunity to see their musical progress in action and applaud their musical achievements.
Seat reservations are not required. Please check in on arrival in the foyer.
