Addition in Year 1
Our Year 1 students have been working extremely hard over the past few weeks to develop their skills with addition. Number bonds, tens frames, bead strings, jump and split strategies have all been in action, well done Year 1!
Stage 3 Debating Teams
The Armidale Catholic Schools Debating Competition will commence next week. For the first time St. Edward's will be entering two Stage 3 debating teams in this competition. In the first round, both our teams will be debating against St. Nicholas' and these two debates will be hosted by St. Edward's on Wednesday 29th May in the middle of Catholic Schools Week. Mrs Irwin and Mr Flynn have been working with our teams over the last week and everyone is excited about the first debate, which sees our students arguing the topic "We should ban all social networking for students under the age of 18". We wish our students the best of luck in these debates. More to follow next week.
