Principal's Report

Dear Parents & Guardians,

It’s getting to that very busy time of year. But the weather has changed and we all smile when the sun comes out. This week we have had a couple of perfect Spring days. If you are going away for the cup weekend, I wish you safe and happy family time.

STAFFING FOR 2026

We will be in a position to publish staffing for 2026 in the next newsletter in two weeks time.

UPDATE YOUR DETAILS WITH THE OFFICE

With fire season fast approaching it is a good time to remind our families to ensure that all your details are up to date at the school. If you have changed address, have a new phone number or have a new alternative contact please contact the office to give us the details so that we are able to contact you if required.

GRADE 6 GRADUATION

Preparations have begun for our Grade 6 Graduation on December 18. We hold the graduation ceremony at the beautiful Killara Winery. Not many schools are as lucky as we are to have such a beautiful venue that looks after us so well. Information will be sent home on a regular basis to our Grade 6 parents. The Grade 6 students are also preparing for the next phase of their education. It is an exciting time for them with many changes occurring as they progress through to Secondary College. Graduation is a way of celebrating what they have achieved while in Primary School, while positively looking ahead to the next challenge of Secondary School. Should you have any concerns please speak to your child’s teacher, Lucy Derix, Rachel Ward, Jess Howe or myself.

ENROLMENTS

As you are probably aware, the school is pretty close to capacity. If you are planning on leaving the area and the school. Can you please let me know as soon as possible for planning purposes. We do get a lot of enquiries from people wanting to join the Woori Primary School community.
