Inquiry Learning - Life on the Goldfields

Congratulations to our year 5 and 6 students who presented their Inquiry Learning projects to students and parents in a very impresive showcase. Students have been investigating what life was like on the Victorian Goldfields in the 1850's. They were required to create a memory box that contained artefacts and diary entries in order to communicate their knowledge. Students put a lot of time into creating their presentations and worked collaboratively to portray major figures, real and fictional. They deepened their understanding during our extended excursion to Sovereign Hill. Students studied the events that led to the Eureka Stockade and the long lasting impacts the significant battle had. Thank you to the parents that attended the display.
