A Tribute to Pope Francis
Do It For Dolly
On Friday, May 9th, a group of dedicated Year 12 students held a successful bake sale to raise funds for Dolly's Dream Foundation. Supportive students from the Youth Ministry Team and Senior Homeroom generously donated their time to bake a variety of delicious treats for the event. Overwhelmed by the support from the student body, the bake sale quickly sold out and raised over $580. Students also wore a touch of blue, which helped spark meaningful conversations in classrooms about bullying, the importance of speaking up, and standing together for kindness and respect. - Brooklyn Collocott, Year 12
Grade 6 Activitiy Days
We recently welcomed Grade 6 students to Mary MacKillop Catholic Regional College for our annual Activity Days. Students experienced a variety of classes, including Physical Education, Food Technology, Science, and Woodwork. These days provide an excellent opportunity for students to gain insight into the diverse learning experiences at MMCRC and help ease the transition from primary to secondary school.
It was wonderful to see so many students from our feeder schools and a range of government schools enjoying their time at the College.
Year 7 Food Technology
Year 12 Food Studies
Year 12 Food Studies students have been exploring how social media influences food trends by designing their own vegetarian breakfast charcuterie boards. Each board included pikelets, apple compote, cheeses, fruits, spreads, yoghurt, and plant-based charcuterie items—offering a creative and balanced start to the day. Aren't they beautiful!
