Sustainability @ TPPS

Congratulations to all the students who participated in our Clean Up Australia Day event on the 7th of March!
We walked down to Templestowe Reserve with our buckets and tongs and picked up rubbish along the way.
It was nice to see that there wasn’t too much litter around, but the kids used their eagle eyes to find little bits of plastic and rubbish hidden amongst the bushes and grass near fences.
We were excited to meet Abby’s grandfather and his cute dog at the park.
On our way back we saw a big fenced off drain that goes under Porter Street. All the rubbish inside the drain reminded us of why we try never to litter. If we do, it ends up in our precious rivers and oceans. Yuck!
After a big walk, we headed back to school feeling extra proud of ourselves and sorted the rubbish into the recycling bin and the landfill bin.
Well done, everyone!
