Hello to all Moonie Families and Community

Welcome to the 2025 school year

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome I have received. It has been a pleasure to meet so many of you at school drop offs and pick up, as well as at the Working Bee. The school looked amazing on Day 1 ready for everyone to have a fantastic start to the school year. I feel privileged to have the opportunity to work here, surrounded by such incredible students and a supportive community.

We’ve had a wonderful start to the year, and it’s been great getting to know new faces both staff and students. We warmly welcome, Kylie Smith, who will be working with the Prep to Year 2 class and Jon Paige who will be working in the Year 3 to Year 6 class for Term 1.

Year 6 Leader Ceremony will be held next Monday morning, February 10th at 830am in the library. We are looking forward to celebrating our Year 6s as they step into their roles as our school leaders.

Swimming lessons will begin this Wednesday, 5th February, please remember to pack swimmers, swimming top to cover shoulders, towel and googles (if needed). The swimming schedule is as follows:

- Prep to Year 2: 11:00am - 11:45am

- Year 3-6: 11:45am - 12:30pm

Good luck to Caleb, Annabelle and Zach who will be participating in the Swimming Carnival at Chinchilla on Thursday. We will all be cheering for you from school!

Lastly, we are excited to have Kindy up and running as well. Last Friday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Cain to our Kindy class, and we’re looking forward to a great year ahead.

Thank you all for your continued support as we begin what promises to be another fantastic year at Moonie. I’m excited to see all the wonderful things we’ll accomplish together!
