The Senior School is well underway with our Elective program this year. One program is our Community elective, where we will soon begin volunteering with a Meals on Wheels program within Kingston Council. We are also visiting local libraries, beaches and parks within our local communities to look at the facilities available to the public.  Check out our recommendations when we publish our book at the end of the semester.

So far we have visited Frankston Library, Carrum Downs Library, Mornington Library, Mornington Pier, Seaford Pier, Carrum beach, Bonbeach beach and Edithvale beach. We have also investigated the facilities at several local playgrounds and parks.

Carrum was one of the most popular choices with the students. We walked along the boardwalk, admired the view while looking for dolphins, had a picnic lunch and spent time at the awesome Carrum Foreshore Playground. There was ample parking (free with a disabled permit), clean public toilets, plenty of seating, lots of shade, and the Carrum Surf Life Saving Club. Worth a trip for your family!

Frankston Library and Frankston Youth Central were also great to visit! We were lucky to have a sausage sizzle & snow cones.  Next up is The Pines Pool, Edithvale wetlands and various parks in Chelsea.

Hope your day is as good as ours!
