School Support Staff Spotlight

As we celebrate School Support Staff Recognition Week, I want to take a moment to highlight the incredible contributions of our support staff who play an essential role in the smooth operation of our school.

Mrs Wall, our office superstar, is the backbone of our communication and organisation. From assisting with finances and uniforms to keeping our newsletter on track, she does it all with a smile. Not to mention, she is always ready to lend a hand, whether it’s cleaning up after others or providing first aid with her trusty supply of Band-Aids and Stingos!

Miss Dunn, who is currently studying to be a teacher, provides wonderful support in the classroom. Her dedication to helping students stay on track through small group tuition and class activities is greatly appreciated and helps foster a positive learning atmosphere.

Mrs. Hunt is another invaluable member of our team, ensuring that our library remains a vibrant resource for our students. Her dedication to keeping it current and organised is questionable, I mean commendable – just testing to see if anyone actually is reading this!! Beyond the library, Mrs Hunt brings creativity into the classroom with clever craft activities and occasional cooking projects that engage our students in fun and meaningful ways.

A heartfelt thank you goes to Mrs. Higgins, who wears many hats around our school. She keeps our grounds neat and tidy, ensuring that our gardens are well cared for and weed-free. Her support for our students with working on various activities is invaluable, as is her talent for creating resources that enhance our learning environment.

We acknowledge Aaron and Pete, who maintain our school grounds. Their efforts in keeping the areas clean, mowed, and well-manicured ensure that our environment is pleasant and welcoming for everyone. They also bring a high level of valued gardening skills to the table which we value and appreciate.

Eileen, the other constant in our school, cleaning and tidying the school in the afternoons each day of the week is also valued and appreciated.

Together, our support staff make a significant difference in the lives of our students and the entire school community. We thank them for their hard work, dedication, and unwavering commitment to our school.
