Farewell Class of 2026

The last week of Term was Year 12's last week of their official schooling. We had a great week celebrating them with a variety of events and activities. Congratulations Year 12! We will be praying for you as you complete your HSC and enter the next phase of your life. We can't wait to see where the road takes you. God bless you all!

Monday - Staff Dominate in Ultimate Vortex Game

On Monday, Staff and Year 12 students went head-to-head in a 'friendly' Ultimate Vortex game. This is a game is a hybrid of Ultimate Frisbee and Vortex. The staff team showcased their impressive skills, keeping the Year 12s on their toes. Despite a strong effort and some standout teamwork from the students, the staff ultimately secured a 6-2 victory.

Tuesday - Staff Appreciation Morning Tea

On Tuesday, Year 12 prepared a lovely morning tea to show their appreciation of NCS Staff.  The delicious morning tea went down a treat and staff felt very much appreciated. Thank you Year 12!

Wednesday - Seniors Activities Day

On Wednesday, our Senior students swapped the classroom for a day of adventure and fun, kicking things off with rock climbing at Nest Rock Climbing Gym.

Students tackled the walls, testing their strength, balance and nerve. From there, the group headed to the Sussex Inlet Aquatic Centre, where the inflatable obstacle course provided plenty of laughs (and a few unexpected swims!) as students raced, climbed and splashed their way across the water.

It was a fantastic day of connection and fun for our Year 11 and 12 students, capping off a great year with some well-earned time together outside the classroom.

A big thank you to Mr Clark for organising such a memorable day for our Seniors.

Thursday - Graduation Day

The day's celebrations began in the morning with the Year 12 Graduation Assembly, where students from Years 3 to 12 gathered alongside many families and friends to honour this special milestone.

It was a wonderful celebration of the 13-year school journey these students have shared, from their earliest days at Nowra Christian School through to this final year. The assembly gave the whole school community a chance to reflect on how far these students have come, and to send them off with encouragement as they prepare for life beyond school.

To finish the assembly, K-2 students joined staff to form a guard of honour, cheering and blowing bubbles as the Year 12 students exited for the final time. It was a touching moment, bookending their journey with the youngest members of our school community farewelling the oldest.

Graduation Dinner

The celebrations continued into the evening as Year 12 students, their parents, carers and staff gathered for the Graduation Dinner at the Stableford Function Centre, Worrigee Sports.

After a day that had already been filled with reflection and celebration at the Graduation Assembly, the dinner offered a more relaxed setting for everyone to come together one last time as a Year 12 community. Guests enjoyed a lovely meal, followed by a number of heartfelt speeches reflecting on the journey these students have shared over their years at Nowra Christian School.

The night rounded out with some dancing, as students let their hair down and celebrated this significant milestone with friends, family and the staff who have walked alongside them.

It was a fitting way to close out a memorable day — full of gratitude, laughter and excitement for what lies ahead for the Class of 2026.
