Principal's Message
From the Desk of Kathy Nott - Term 1, Week 8
Good afternoon, Parents/Carers,
Harmony Day
This week is Harmony Week. We will be observing Harmony Day tomorrow, Wednesday, 18th March this year with classroom activities, and we ask all students to wear orange on the day.
Behaviour Focus
Our behaviour focus for Week 8 is again Safe,
We are learning to:
Keep our hands and feet to ourselves
Stay out of personal space! (The bubble rule)
We are successful when:
We keep our "hands off"
We don't push each other
We don't kick each other
We respect personal space
Late Arrivals to school
If your child is late to school, please ensure you report to the school office to get a late note. This helps us ensure your child is marked as present for the day.
Missing Decodable Home Readers
We are missing a range of decodable home readers. If you have any of these books at home, could you please return them to the classroom teacher as soon as possible. These books are used daily for reading and are used by all students. If they are not returned our students are disadvantaged in their reading.
Attendance Matters

Turn Up Awards
The "Turn Up" award was introduced last year to encourage our students to attend school every day. Each day your child attends their name will be entered into the draw to receive a paddle pop voucher. A voucher will be issued each week to each class. If your child attends 5 times in that week they have 5 entries. If they attend two days in that week they have 2 entries. Congratulations to our winners for Week 7:
K/1B - Melody
2/3O - Indianna

NAPLAN
NAPLAN will continue this week for Years 3 and 5. We ask that all students in Years 3 and 5 ensure that they are at school on time to complete the NAPLAN testing.
Colour Run
Thank you to everyone who participated in fundraising and our students who participated in the Colour Run for 2026. We have raised a staggering $8250. What a fantastic effort! The school will receive a percentage of the money raised and this will go towards our bus travel for excursions throughout the year. Our top fundraisers were:
1st - Skylar - $1315
2nd - Billy - $1300
3rd - Indianna - $1170
Congratulations. We are currently waiting for our prizes to be delivered, and we will distribute to our fundraisers soon. For all the fun of the day head over to our Colour Run Tab in the newsletter to see all the photos.
Parent/Carer Survey
In Term 2, we are inviting parents and carers to participate in the NSW Public Schools Parent Survey. The survey gives you the opportunity to share your experience at our school, including communication, inclusion, wellbeing and how your child's learning is supported.
Hearing directly from our parents and carers will help us understand what's working well and where improvements can be made. Participation in the survey is optional, your responses are anonymous, and it takes around 10 to 15 minutes to complete. The survey is available in Term 2 and when the link goes live, we will share it with you.
Kind regards
Kathy Nott
