 Bell Shakespeare’s Bottom’s Dream

On Tuesday morning, August 5, students in Years 3–6 will have the exciting opportunity to enjoy a special performance by the Bell Shakespeare company.

The 50-minute show, Bottom’s Dream, will be followed by a 10-minute Q&A session with the performers.

In Creative Arts, students have been preparing for this incursion through drama activities that introduce the characters and story of Bottom’s Dream, a playful adaptation inspired by A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

About the Show:

Bottom has had a most curious dream. He’s just woken up in a forest full of magical flowers, mischievous fairies, and—strangely—donkey ears! But was it all just a dream?

This fun, adventurous, and heartwarming performance brings to life the magic and chaos of one of Shakespeare’s most beloved comedies. Told through the eyes of one of his greatest clowns, Bottom’s Dream is a delightful and accessible introduction to Shakespeare for primary students.

Parents and carers are welcome. The performance will begin at 9.05 am in the gym.
