Hello from PB

What a busy and exciting year it has been for our Prep B students! From exploring the animal kingdom to dressing up for Book Week and shining on stage in their very first school concert, our Preps have been making memories, building friendships and learning so much along the way.
One of the highlights of the year was our school excursion from Langwarrin to Melbourne Zoo. Our little explorers had a fantastic time discovering the amazing animals and sharing the experience with all their Prep friends. It was a wonderful opportunity to explore, ask questions and learn more about the world around us.
Book Week was another exciting event, with our Preps arriving in fabulous costumes and bringing their favourite characters to life. The creativity and enthusiasm on display made it a wonderful celebration of books, stories and the joy of reading.
Our Preps also became superstars when they took to the stage for their very first school concert! Performing alongside the Year 6 students in the production Scarlet Shadow, they worked incredibly hard, practising their dances for weeks in the lead-up to the big performance. Their confidence, enthusiasm and teamwork were fantastic to see, and they should all be very proud of themselves.
In the classroom, our Preps have been working hard and making wonderful progress. In Mathematics, they have explored addition and subtraction and have now moved on to learning about division and sharing objects into equal groups. They have also been practising their daily phonics and developing their reading and writing skills. It has been wonderful to see their confidence grow as they sound out words, practise their writing and discover the excitement of becoming independent readers and writers.
But don't just take my word for it! When asked about their favourite parts of school and what they have been learning, our Prep students had plenty to say.
