Spotlight on Learning

Year 6 Confirmation

Over the past four weeks students have engaged in learning about The Fruits and Gifts of the Holy Spirit, what it means to 'be Confirmed' as the final Sacrament of Initiation, and have also researched their chosen Saint. Students presented information about their Saint in poster format and also produced stained-glass artworks depicting the Saints.

• St Luigi was the patron saint of soccer (Charlie)
• St Patrick's feast day is named after the day he died (Finlay)
• St Elizabeth of Hungary passed away when she was 26 and had 6 children (Eva)
• St Anne was the grandmother of Jesus (Georgia)
• Christ gave St. Gemma the stigmata, and she bled each Thursday evening from her hands, her feet, and her heart. The wounds would remain for a day or two, then subside, leaving white marks in their place. (Ruby)
• St Cecilia was the patron saint of music (Stephanie and Olivia)
