Emerging Leaders Gather for ‘Lead Where You Stand’ Professional Learning Day

On Wednesday, August 5, staff identified by their principals as showing leadership potential gathered from across the diocese for Day 1 of the Emerging Leaders program at the ACS Office. Grounded in our vision for a hope-filled future, participants explored what it means to lead in a Catholic setting through servant leadership, panel discussions with experienced leaders, and high-energy mentorship speed-dating. Throughout the day, attendees unpacked the Leading Well Framework, explored strategies for navigating the task-relationship dilemma in school communities, and mapped out actionable Leadership Development Plans to drive positive impact in their current roles. Participants will now complete four online learning modules focused on leading before coming together again for a final face-to-face day at the end of the term.

This workshop will guide LoPs and MaSTs through the process of unpacking the CHPS syllabi in 2027. Participants will explore and interrogate the curriculum documents, investigating how the

Thematic Review of Writing has informed the direction of each syllabus. Staff will learn about the resources and supports that ACS will be providing to support syllabus implementation.

Shared Beliefs and Understanding Professional Development Day for ECTs

The ECT Coach Team with the support of the Mission and Learning Team members are again facilitating the Shared Beliefs and Understanding Professional Development Day for all early-career teachers.

It will be held in Armidale at the Armidale Catholic Schools Office on Tuesday 25th August (Week 6 Term 3).

This day will focus on the System's Non-negotiables and target areas specifically to the needs of our ECTs. The day's structure will involve whole-group presentations as well as several small-group workshops that will rotate each session.
