Northern Central District Cross Country 

On Friday 8th May, thirteen Donald High School students travelled to St Arnaud to compete in the North Central District Cross Country event. This was a 3 km event for all divisions except the Intermediate and Senior Boys, who both ran a 5 km course.

Our students always find this course challenging, as it includes hills that are difficult to train for here in Donald. All students represented themselves and the school to the best of their ability.

We had some strong results, with Layla G winning the Intermediate Girls event in 12 minutes and 30 seconds, Hugo placing third in the Intermediate Boys 5 km event in 16 minutes and 59 seconds, Luca placing fourth in the Senior Boys 5 km event in 17 minutes and 53 seconds, Milla finishing seventh in the Intermediate Girls event in 15 minutes and 18 seconds, Samuel finishing eighth in the Intermediate Boys 5 km event in 18 minutes and 58 seconds, and Harvey finishing tenth in the Junior Boys event in 13 minutes and 2 seconds. 

A number of students will now represent Donald High School at the Loddon Mallee Region Cross Country event, which will be held in St Arnaud on June 2nd.
